2 Corinthians 4:6 ESV
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Our mission as believers? It’s right here.

This blog is my daily devotion intended to let out as much of God’s light as I can. You see, unless I am dilligent in pursuing the Kingdom of God, the cares of this world dim His light in me. I can easily become like smoky, dirty glass, unable to allow light to shine through. I need to really dig into God’s Word to keep my glass clean. How can I be a good witness if I don’t shine? I can’t. Not only that, but I won’t want to.

The secondary intention is to encourage other believers to wash their own windows so they, too, will be eager to share the Good News. Beleivers should want to share the Gospel. Our gift from God was immense, and we know it. Unless we all are careful, we lose sight of that.

Finally, we pray for each other as we go about God’s business in this land that is not our home.

My prayer is that you find these writings encouraging and useful in your own daily devotions. Relish in the things of God so that you may be like a songbird – unable to contain your praises of our King Jesus!
