If you have been following the comment string on my Facebook posts, you will notice that I have been very direct with a woman belongs to the cult Jehovah’s Witnesses. She’s been replying to my posts for awhile, always with bible references. However, the way she did made me think that something stinks. Sure enough, she finally admitted she is a member.
Some may wonder why I was so blunt with her, perhaps even downright rude. Simple. She hid her identity so that she might influence others. Now that I know who she is, I will expose her. Let’s be clear – I’m open to a discussion of biblical principles; but in a public forum on my page, it is only fair that others know who the parties are.
In this case, there indeed is something that stinks. Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW)have re-written the bible to fit their worldview. To the casual observer, their book LOOKS like the bible, but it’s not.
What do they say? That Jesus isn’t God, as in one and the same as the Father and Holy Spirit. You see, the idea of the Trinity is foundational to Christians. JWs believe that Jesus is the archangel Michael.
Confused? Here’s the bottom line. The bible teaches us that humans are wicked and that we must be born again to see the kingdom of God. Born again how? By the Spirit.
There are several things that have to happen to be born again. The order I give is not important now. Repentance is a must. You must also have faith in Jesus Christ. Repentance doesn’t come without faith. Good works doesn’t come without faith. Being born again doesn’t come without faith.
Faith is a gift given by God himself. God reveals the Son to whom he desires. The Son (Jesus) makes known the Father to whom he desires. The Spirit is given to those whom they desire. Through all this, the person who was once dead, spiritually, becomes alive as a new creation. “Behold the old is gone, the new has come.”
To be born again, one must experience a miracle by the Trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Three Gods, separate yet one, existing for all eternity.
That’s what the bible teaches.
Why Should You Believe The Bible?
My message is the same. We have nature and the sky above to prove that God exists. Furthermore, Jesus is revealed to us through scripture. Why should you believe the bible? Tons of reasons. Let me give you one. From the beginning, it foretold what was to happen before it did – with 100% accuracy.
Jehovah Witnesses don’t believe this. Indeed, something stinks. They are liars. That is why I am harsh with them. Jesus was harsh with others like this.
To the woman who prompted this post, I hope you consider these things. I really do.
