Believe it or not, I’m going to keep this very short today. It is times like these that bring us to our knees. Thanks be to God that we have Him. Can you imagine going through COVID-19 without the rock-solid assurance of the Creator of the universe?

Folks, God is calling us to him, to love him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. While love and trust are different, you can’t have one without the other. And how can you know if you truly love God unless you fully trust him? And how can you fully trust him unless you have had to?

God is testing us, folks. Not so that HE might find out what we will do, but so that WE will. He already knows how we will react. Unfortunately, we don’t know until our backs are against the wall. And now, we are being tested by losing our freedom to come and go as we please, our financial wherewithal, and even our health.

How are you doing in this test? Are you afraid? Angry? Suspicious? Are you looking to the government for answers? Are you disgusted with the media? Are you afraid you will lose all your money?

Or, are you growing closer to God? Might this be a time to look back on with profound gratitude because you grew in your faith like never before?

At the end of our lives, we will have nothing. No jobs, no families, no clothes. Nothing. Except for God. And that will be more than enough. In fact, it will be everything. We won’t want anything else. All of this stuff on earth will be dust and forgotten. Yet for those whose name is written in the Lamb’s book of life, there will be joy forevermore!

How are you doing on your test? It’s not over, friend. You have time to change some answers. Oh, did you know that this is an open-book test? It sure is! You can use your bible all you want! Yes, you can! You want to know what else is really cool? You can ask the teacher to help you answer the questions! That’s right! You don’t have to guess at anything. There really is no reason you can’t or shouldn’t get 100% on this one!
