Good Morning!
Last week, on Christmas Eve, I gave some verses that Pastor Rich preached about. It was the first section of a three-part card headed “I Am Accepted.” Today, I’ll give you the second part – I Am Secure. Monday, we will look at the last section – I Am Significant.
I am free forever from condemnation. “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:1-2)
I am assured that all things work together for good. “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
I am free from any condemning charges against me. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31b)
I cannot be separated from the love of God. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?” (Romans 8:35)
I have been established, anointed, and sealed by God. “And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” (2 Corinthians 1:21-22)
I am hidden with Christ in God. “For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:3)
I am confident that the good work that God has begun in me will be perfected. “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
I am a citizen of heaven. “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” (Philippians 3:20)
I have not been given a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
I can find grace and mercy in time of need. “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)
I am born of God, and the evil one cannot touch me. “We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.” (1 John 5:18)
The word of God is powerful. Spend time relishing in it.
Father, let your voice soothe us and give us the power we need. Amen.
