Good Morning!
We certainly had a beautiful weekend in Minnesota, didn’t we? I spent as much time as I could outside enjoying all that God has provided us in nature. Imagine what it will be like when we get to see heaven. I mean, our earth is beautiful in every corner, but can you imagine what heaven will be like? A place where no moth or rust can destroy? No decay? No fighting or cruelty. All of nature will be changed back to what it was.
Isaiah 11:6-9 The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain.
In the meantime, let’s join in with the Psalmist in praise to God as we expectantly wait for Jesus’ return.
Psalm 98
Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The Lord has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations. He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, and with the lyre and the sound of melody! With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!
Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it! Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.
How about it? Can you make a joyful noise to the Lord this morning? How about starting by singing a song in your heart? In your head, so no one will be disturbed. My guess is your whole demeanor will change when you do. Instead of the grouch looking for coffee on a Monday morning, you could be that person that everyone looks forward to seeing. The joy of the Lord is our strength!
Father, let the whole of creation sign to you today! Let each of us encourage all those around us to sign a new song in praise to Jesus. For indeed he is worthy and does marvelous things! Amen!
